WHO’S THE COURSE FOR?
This course is for site supervisors and managers who are responsible for inspecting and checking complex/designed scaffolds for safe use, and for signing certificates and registers in accordance with statutory regulations.COURSE AIMS AND BENEFITS
To develop in Candidates an understanding of the appropriate safety regulations and the ability to interpret design specifications and statutory regulations, when inspecting complex/designed scaffolding structures for faults.
The course will give candidates a thorough understanding of:
- Regulations and approved Codes of Practice
- Scaffolding terminology
- Scaffolding components
Construction of complex / designed scaffolds to include:
- Interpretation of design drawings
- Staircase scaffolds
- Cantilever drop/truss out scaffolds
- Slung scaffolds
- Shoring
- Falsework
- Temporary ramps
- Practical inspection
- Reports
ENTRY REQUIREMENT
Candidate must have held a certificate in Safe Erection and Dismantling of Scaffolds Complex for a minimum of 12 months and have practical experience of inspecting scaffold.TRAINING METHOD
