WHO’S THE COURSE FOR?
Candidates who wish to advance their experience in the industry and have a minimum of 12 months site experience and who have successfully completed the Safe Erection and Dismantling of Scaffolds Part B CourseCOURSE AIMS AND BENEFITS
The course aims to further a Candidate’s knowledge with advanced scaffolding techniques, covering the safe erection, alteration and dismantling of a range of scaffolding structures in their correct sequence.
Successful Candidates will gain knowledge and skills in:
- Correct and safe methods of erecting, altering and dismantling false work scaffolds, shoring scaffolds, cantilever drop, staircases, ramps and truss out scaffolds in tube and fitting.
- Competence for the safe erection, alteration and dismantling of Complex scaffold structures.
- Procedures for producing, interpreting and using risk assessments and methods statements.
- Determining the material requirements for false work scaffolds, shoring scaffolds, cantilever drop, staircases, ramps and truss out scaffolds in tube and fitting.
- Laying out materials, interpreting design drawings, setting out scaffolds and overcoming obstacles to erect the scaffold safely.
- Constructing scaffolds to statutory regulations following the safe systems of work set out in safety guidance note 4.
ENTRY REQUIREMENT
Candidate must have held a certificate in Safe Erection and Dismantling of Scaffolds Part B for a minimum of 12 months while also gaining site experience.TRAINING METHOD
